Junctions in the main central pathway of vital energy

It may be remembered that all nerves are pathways of vital energy. According to yogic science chakras (wheels) are the junctions in the neural pathways; situated in spinal cord and brain (central nervous system)
Nine chakras are described in yogic science. These are different centeres in C.N.S spread from filum terminale to brain.
1) Muladhara :- (Root Chakra) :- This is the filum terminale which absorbs ionizing radations from atmosphere towards spinal cord, brain and total nervous system.
2) Swadhishtana :- Sacral Plexus. From here nerves branch to sexual organs, urinary bladder, prostrate gland, legs. etc.
3) Manipuraka :- Lumbar plexus. From here nerves go to sexual organs, urniary bladder, pancreas, kidney, prostrate gland and large gut.
4) Anahatham:-  Brachial plexus. From here nerves go to lachrymalsalivary glands, head and neck.
6) Aajnja :- Between eyebrows, and in between left front lobe and right front lobe of brain. Optical nerves branch from here.
7) Sahasradla Padmam :- (thousand petalled lotus)
This is the brain itself. By practicing mediation it is promised that this lotus will blossom, when all impurities in the C.N.S are removed and ionizing radiations spread all over teh brain. Such sensation of blossoming can be felt by the practitioners of meditation in advanced stages.
8) Shodashadala Padmam :- (The sixteen petalled lotus)
It is said that a sixteen petalled lotus resides in the middle of thousand petalled lotus (Brain)
It is supposed that shivashkti samyogam (Union of Oordhava linga and Oordha yoni-upper penis and upper vagina) is taking place here and amrit (ambrosia) is secreted at the pericarp of thsi small lotus. Pericaprp can be assumed as pineal gland and ambrosia can be compared to teh secretions of Melatonin, Serotonin and Endorphin, which happen when ionizing radiations reach this part.
9) Sailakadharam :- This Chakra is situated about 3 centimeters above the head. Great yogis alone were aware of this Chakra. If we place our palm above the head of an accomplished yogi we can feel the emission of pulsed radiations from the brain. This was named sailakadhara.
